Sadye’s Fund for Spreading Hope

Sadye’s Fund for Spreading Hope is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that has been created in honor of Sadye Webb. Sadye, from Scottsboro, Alabama, is a very brave girl who was diagnosed with cancer when she was three years old.

The purpose of Sadye’s Fund for Spreading Hope is to raise money in order to help northeast Alabama families whose children have been diagnosed with cancer or other serious/terminal illnesses. The board of directors distributes the money raised to families who need assistance dealing with the financial burden of a child suffering from cancer or other serious/terminal illnesses.

Second Annual 5K Run/Walk

The Second Annual Sadye’s Fund for Spreading Hope 5K Run/Walk and Fun Run will be held on Saturday, October 30 at 9:00 AM. The event will be to help raise money for Sadye’s Fund for Spreading Hope. It will be held at Caldwell Elementary in Scottsboro. The entry fee is $20. For more information email spreadinghope5k@yahoo.com.

Race Information:

· 5K Road Race, 3.1 miles, Run/Walk

· Saturday, October 30, 2010, starting at 9:00 AM at Caldwell Elementary

· $20 Registration Fee (100% of proceeds go to Sadye’s Fund for Spreading Hope)

· Each participant in the 5K will receive a raceday t-shirt

· Awards will be given for overall male and overall female 1st, 2nd & 3rd as well as 1st 2nd in each age group

· 1 Mile Fun Run $5 per participant

· Registration will also take place on the morning of the race from 6:30am-8:30am

· Race packets can be picked up Friday, October 29 from 4:00pm-7:00pm at race site.
